Because planning for postpartum should include more than onesies and strollers

Pregnant Couple Holding Hands as they Prepare for Postpartum

As new parents, we are often so overwhelmed and don’t know how to prepare our lives for a baby. We think that what we need to have a baby is onesies, a car seat, and a stroller… but there is so much more to it than that. The reasons that most couples fight after a baby, according to Brain Rules for Baby by John Medina, are isolation; sleep deprivation; perinatal mood and anxiety disorders; and feelings of fairness around the division of labor. In this free 90 minute session, we will talk specifically about how those issues might impact you and what you can do about them. We will talk about the options that you have to get the support you need. If the services I offer are a good fit for you, we will talk about that… and I also have loads of other contacts and resources for everything from doula support to pelvic floor support to Be Her Village (a gift registry for services, not stuff).
