I understand what it’s like to have a child who doesn’t sleep. I dreaded nights and didn’t know what to do. That motivated me to learn what I know now to help other parents.
I learned sleep skills the hard way—before I studied early childhood development and sleep. I earned some fancy titles along the way (read about them here if you are interested). But my real education has been from the hundreds of families that I have worked with to find their way to healthy development and restful sleep.
I use my 15+ years of training and expertise as a parent, an early childhood special education specialist (with a master’s in early childhood special education and a clear teaching credential), a Gottman relationship educator and trainer, a certified pediatric sleep interventionist, an infant massage instructor, a toddler behavior expert, a Circle of Security Parenting facilitator to show parents how to tackle sleep issues before they’ve worn a path in the hallway carpet.
I help families create routines that make sleep time feel warmer, calmer, and more supportive. Not perfect. Not rigid. But that work towards meeting each person’s needs.
